It’s satisfying to complete a stack of ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards). I’m looking forward to the ones I will get in return. This is for the JAMs meeting, Sunday, October 15th at Artistic Artifacts at 1:00pm. If you’re in the area, come join us.
FROM ARTISTIC ARTIFACTS WEBSITE: JAMs is Judy’s Altered Minds and is open to anyone interested in Altered Art — both fabric and non fabric art. There is a sit fee of $3.00 per person. We start with ATC Trade at 1:00, group meeting and announcements. Then one show and tell item. We try to arrange a demo, informational part of each meeting.
The images I used in the ATC’s are from paperwhimsy.com

The Process – Going from finished to the start
Can you guess how these design elements for collage were made?
Here are some scenes from yesterday’s opening at Glenview Mansion Art Gallery. Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us. We were too busy enjoying the company of friends and family to get many photos of the show, or any of us! It was great fun, and thanks to Julie Farrell, the Director for the thoughtful and creative ways she displayed our work.
On the work table are some collages that will be turned into ATC’s Artist Trading Cards for a visit to Artistic Artifacts where artists trade these fun little 2.5″ x 3″ artworks. I’ve sewn together papers, watercolors, fabric and some shiny radiance papers which are then cut down to ATC size. It’s a good way to ‘mass produce’ a lot of little collages.
Here they are finished. The photo of the girl is from my old tintype collection.
