Here you see my first offering for a trade hosted by fellow blogger Jackie P Neal. The paper doll will be traveling to the UK soon. The first swap was artist’s choice; in future themes will be assigned. It’s been a while since I’ve done this type of thing. Before Facebook swallowed everyone, lots of artists did swaps and trades and group books. I’ve missed it. Thanks Jackie, for hosting.

Digital Collage Artist Trading Cards
Every month there is an ATC (Artist Trading Card 2.5″ x 3.5″) trade at Artistic Artifacts in Alexandria. My offering will be 12 small fabric digital collages. On wispy see through organza I printed out a collage which I placed over hand dyed fabric. They were then stitched with gold metallic thread.
Soon I will be teaching this technique at Artistic Artifacts. The class will be in two parts, beginning with the digital collage aspect. The second class will cover making a print out and selecting fabric for the design. Details will be posted here as soon as I have the dates!
Noir Magic – Peacock
Lara W. traveled 100 miles to attend the Noir Magic Class. You saw the in process photo in the last post. Today I received a photo of her first finished piece.
Lara added and blended Prismacolor pencils with the gel pens. The piece reminds me of a story book or a fable and certainly reminds me of illuminated manuscripts. Well done Lara! I think it’s beautiful. What do you think?
